THE CALYPSO PROJECT
Built From The Ground Up.
Titan Rover is a collaboration of multi-disciplinary students who gather together to research, design, manufacture, and test a Mars Exploration Rover (MER) on behalf of Cal State Fullerton at the University Rover Challenge (URC). The rover is built from the ground up using in-house materials and is completely designed by team members of Titan Rover
Built For Competition.
Titan Rover competes in the University Rover Challenge, an international competition sponsored by Protocase and held at the Mars Desert Research Station in Hanksville, Utah. Out of eighty-six candidates, thirty teams from seven countries, including The United States, Poland, and India, will be competing. The purpose of the competition is for industry professionals to view the techniques and strategies used by students and apply successful ones to future space exploration ventures.
Built From All Backgrounds
Titan Rover is a multidisciplinary team of engineering, science, and business students building a simulated Mars rover. The skills and knowledge of members from each discipline is essential in designing and constructing the finished rover.
